How You Can Help -

Become a Part of
the
World Literacy Initiative Team!

At times we are moved by a great humanitarian cause or the unmet needs of our planetary neighbors, yet fail to act simply because of the perceived magnitude or complexity of the problem.  'How can we - as just one person - have an effect on such a great problem?', we ask ourselves.

Still, we are hard pressed to recall worthwhile accomplishments, whatever our values or beliefs may be, that are not the result of deliberate, collaborative effort by caring individuals that necessarily began as individual efforts or in very small collaborations.

Gandhi's words provide guidance while prompting us towards our vision:

". . . become the change you seek . . . ."

Throughout the Developing World.

Patronize GoodSearch & GoodShop
GoodSearch is an Internet search web site not unlike Google except that it contributes 50% of its net proceeds to the charity selected at the beginning of the search.  World Literacy Initiative is a registered 501 (c)(3) with GoodSearch and every time you select it prior to doing a search, half the proceeds of that search will accrue to World Literacy Initiative.

Similarly, GoodShop (located at the same web site) donates usually from 2.5% to 7.0% of any purchases made to the selected charity.  Again, as World Literacy Initiative  is a registered charity, by going to GoodShop and selecting World Literacy Initiative first, some percentage of your purchase price will be donated by the patronized store to World Literacy Initiative  Some organizations can accrue thousands of dollars simply by this process.

World Literacy Initiative
asks you to convert your routine searches and online purchasing to the GoodSearch/GoodShop web site and designating World Literacy Initiative before you proceed.  In this way, we hope to build the foundation of support for our mission.  Click on any of the hotspots in these past two paragraphs and go see for yourself how easy it is to help us every day!  And thanks in advance for you help.

Volunteer
If you are willing to make a minimal commitment to World Literacy Initiative over the next two years, please contact our volunteer coordinator to discuss current openings. Especially if you are just starting out, currently between full-time obligations, or if you are in your retirement years, please consider this option. Just contact our volunteer coordinator to find out more about helping in this way.
Thank you
for being a part of our mission!
