An Evening of Music and Laughter!
Jerry Farber
a Hit
in 2009

Comedy smash, Jerry Farber made them roll with frolic at the Jerry Farber - Highway Benefit Performance for World Literacy Initiative, August 5th (2009) at the Red Light Cafe.   Doing his first benefit for World Literacy Initiative, Farber was at moments touched by the gravity of the World Literacy Initiative mission, but rebounded quickly and moved through his sketches as the flawless magician of comedy that he is.
Lotito - Gerhard - Frimpong - Smith
Board members Nick Lotito (LL), Greg Gerhard (L), and Vickie Smith (RR) have a quiet moment at the end of a great evening with volunteer Alice Frimpong (R), daughter of founding board member, Rev. Dr. Ernest Frimpong.

The band, Highway performed its novel mix of southern rock and funk served with a twist.

Meanwhile, the crowd was warmed up before Farber and rocked and entertained beyond their expectations after him by the new band, HIGHWAY.  Highway played no fewer than 15 original songs of their own most on their way to stardom along with this up and coming southern rock & funk band with a twist.  The crowd loved them and it's easy to see why their following just keeps ballooning on up there.  Tonight was no exception as they played as a seasoned band  getting people out of their seats and clapping at every opportunity.

Between the two great performers, the evening went quickly and as the large crowd finally began to file out, everyone who came knew that this was no longer any other ordinary summer evening - not after
Jerry Farber and Highway.

The Band, Highway
entertains some of the large crowd gathered to show their support of World Literacy Initiative and its global mission to reduce illiteracy and advance basic education.

Jerry Farber, does what he has mastered over his 30+ year career
in the Atlanta area, delivering his
one liners while keeping his
audience both broken up yet gladly cemented to their seats!
